Ambassador Itzhak Oren, Senior Consultant to The Rhoads Group, brings to the firm a wealth of foreign policy and international relations experience. Ambassador Oren most recently served as the Director of Advocacy to The Abraham Fund for Jewish-Arab Coexistence and as a Senior Consultant to Wilson & Associates, another Washington, D.C.-based consultancy. Prior to retiring from the Foreign Service Corps of the State of Israel, Ambassador Oren served extensively in Africa and the United States, as Ambassador of Israel to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to the Republic of Benin. During his time in the United States, Ambassador Oren served as the Minister for Congressional Affairs in the Washington, D.C. Embassy of Israel. Additionally, the Ambassador was honored to serve as a political advisor to two Prime Ministers of Israel. Ambassador Oren retired from the Israeli Army with the rank of Major. Recently named as a Senior Research Associate at the Bar-Ilan University’s Besa Institute for Strategic Studies, the Ambassador holds a BA from the Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan, in Political Science and Criminology, and a MA from The City University of New York, (Distinction), in Criminal Justice and Political Studies.
