I. Samuel Kaminsky, Senior Consultant to The Rhoads Group, brings over forty years of experience in various areas of government service and legal representation. Mr. Kaminsky's background includes serving as Personal Counsel to Congressman John Murtha (D-PA) and as the Congressman's Campaign Director.
Mr. Kaminsky has extensive knowledge of the business community in South Central and Western Pennsylvania and the 12th Congressional District in particular. Additional political experience includes prior service as a member of the National Young Democratic Committee as well as a delegate for Senator Henry Martin "Scoop" Jackson to the Democratic National Convention.
Mr. Kaminsky has also served as Hearing Officer for the Pennsylvania Liquor Board (Administrative Law Judge), Member of the U.S. Small Business Regulatory Task Force, and the U.S. Department of Energy Advisory Committee for alternative fuel demonstration projects. Mr. Kaminsky has worked extensively as a consultant with a number of firms and was Of Counsel to the Johnstown, Pennsylvania law firm of Kaminsky, Thomas, Wharton, and Lovette. He also has served as Corporate Director and Legal Counsel to many companies. Mr. Kaminsky was also Of Counsel to Kaminsky Associates, an International Consulting and Strategic Planning Firm of suburban DC and to Aircraft Marketing, Ltd. of Las Vegas, NV, an international aircraft and yacht brokerage firm. His international work has included advising Israeli firms on business practices in the U.S. Mr. Kaminsky received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He was admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania and various Federal Courts.
